The History of «Barbie» Creation
The film was announced by Universal Pictures in 2009. However, in 2014 it was announced that Sony Pictures had acquired the rights to the film and comedian Amy Schumer was cast as Barbie. Later, due to creative differences with her team, Schumer left the shooting, and the role went to Anne Hathaway. However, despite high hopes, this did not save the film from failure, and the company's contract with Mattel expired. Thus, the film rights were turned over to Warner Brothers.
